We understand and appreciate how hard it is to say goodbye to our beloved pet. Our goal at North Oatlands Animal Hospital is to assist our clients as much as we can during the end of your life’s pet. We will help you understand when it is time to euthanize your pet. Prior to making this decision, we will answer all of your questions, discuss quality of life issues with you or offer guidance so you may make the right decision for your pet and your family. We are here to answer all of your questions about the euthanasia process and guide you through the process.
We understand that your pet is a part of your family, thus, we welcome you and other family members to be present if you wish. This difficult decision is made out of a deep love for your pet and is one of the most selfless decisions you can make. The decision to euthanize when no quality of life remains is an act of love, friendship and selflessness. We can help you make the decision to provide your companion with a peaceful and dignified end-of-life.
Experiencing grief after your pet has passed away is a normal human reaction to loss, and is often experienced both before and after a pet one has died. Pets provide companionship and unconditional love, so when your beloved pet is seriously or dies, you may experience intense feelings, much like the feelings evoked when you anticipate or experience the loss of a close human family member. These feeling are normal, and may take some time to heal. Our support does not end after your pet has peacefully died.
