Coronavirus: You & Your Pet

In light of the latest stay-at-home mandate, we want to inform you that our hospital is considered an essential business and as such we will remain available for essential and emergency care for your pet(s) with our curbside care protocol in place to ensure the safety of you and our staff.

Our new office hours will be 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday to Saturdays (closed Sundays).

What is considered essential care?

  • Emergency care
  • Life-sustaining care
  • Eye, ear and skin issues
  • Orthopedic issues
  • Behavioral issues
  • Laser treatments
  • Rabies vaccine administration

Update: March 27, 2020

At North Oatlands Animal Hospital, we take the health and wellbeing of our clients, patients, and team very seriously.  We understand that there is a lot of fear and uncertainty at this time, in order to continue providing compassionate care, we will need your help. 

We will be implementing new protocols to allow us to continue to serve our clients and patients while mitigating the risk of spreading COVID-19.  Effective immediately, we will be transitioning appointments to curbside care only.  If you already have an appointment scheduled, we will still be able to see your pet, but the protocol for appointments will be changing. Here is what you can expect for your curbside care appointment with your pet…

Note:  Only team members and pets will be allowed into our building until further notice.    

Appointments:
We ask that you please call as you are arriving, and a NOAH team member will meet you and your pet in the parking lot at your car.  Please remain in your car unless otherwise instructed.  The team member will collect your pet to be taken inside for exam and treatment. 

We ask that you remain in your car in the parking lot unless otherwise instructed.  Please be prepared to answer your phone so that our team can obtain a history and our doctor can talk with you during the exam.  We will go over any recommendations over the phone.  Once a plan has been reached, we will complete treatment(s).  Once the examination and treatments are complete, a team member will collect payment via debit/credit card over the phone.  After this transaction is complete, we will bring your pet, any medications/foods, and discharge paperwork back to you at your car.  Receipts and discharge paperwork will be emailed to you.

Prescription and Food Pick-up
Please contact the hospital in advance for prescription and food refills. When your prescription is ready for pick-up we will contact you. When you arrive, please call us so that payment can be processed and we will be happy to bring your medications/food out to your vehicle.

We want to remind you that we also have a trusted online pharmacy partner who can deliver your pet’s supplies directly to your home. Shipping is free on many orders, and there’s also an AutoShip option that will send your pet’s regular meds and foods to you on schedule. 

Special Circumstances
End of life or euthanasia care will still be provided with one to two family members present.  We ask that you call in advance so that we may instruct you on where to go upon arrival. For any and all interactions, we ask that only healthy members of your family accompany your pet to NOAH.

This is an ever-evolving situation.  We will be posting updates as they become available.  We are not anticipating a closure at this time, but we will keep our NOAH family informed of any changes as they develop. 

We hope that our efforts will slow the spread of COVID-19 in our area, allowing our team to continue to be available to you and your pet during this difficult time.  We thank you for your understanding and patience.
